About the Journal

Ukrainian Theoretical and Methodological Socio-Humanitarian (scientific) Journal “Psychology and Society” was founded in 2000.

The founder and publisher of the journal is the West Ukrainian National University.

Until 2020, the publication was quarterly, and starting from 2021, it is published twice a year.

Journal is included in the List of scientific professional editions of Ukraine in the field of psychological sciences, specialty 053 Psychology (Order of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine No. 1188 dated September 24, 2020).

Publication is registered as a printed periodical and online publication (ISSN 2523-4099 (Online), ISSN 1810-2131 (Print)), receives a digital identifier DOI (digital object identifier) for all published issues and scientific articles (https://doi.org/10.35774/pis). Since 2012, it has been indexed by the Google Scholar citation system; since 2017, indexed by the Index Copernicus (Poland).

The founder and permanent editor-in-chief of the journal is a well-known scientist, educator, and methodology popularizer in Ukraine Professor Anatolii V. Furman. The editorial board and editorial council consist of forty leading domestic and foreign scientists in the field of psychology. “Psychology and Society” publishes scientific articles in psychology, methodology, and education in Ukrainian and foreign languages. The distribution geography of the printed version of the journal is nationwide, with an annual circulation of over a thousand copies. The full version of each issue is available online free of charge.

The main sections of the publication include: problems of social formation, fundamental research, methodology as a sphere of thought, theoretical psychology, education studies, psychodidactics, social psychology, applied psychology, experimental psychology, program-methodological tools, etc.
